Summary: In which Nolan Holloway is willing to change sides because of Y/n.

Someone you admired.
Ever since you met him, you admired him from afar. After many months of admiring him, you had him memorized. The way he smiles when he finds something funny and how he runs his hand through his hair several times when he stressed.
Nolan sometimes looked up and met with your eyes. You just gave him a smile and he smiled back.
That’s how it was.

Ever since you heard that he was the enemy. Part of the hunters who were trying to kill your pack, you stopped.
And unfortunately, he noticed.
He tried to get your attention, to get you to admire him again. But all you did was ignore him.
He had enough one day.
“Hi Y/n.” He said behind you as you were putting away books in your locker. Upon hearing his voice, you slammed your locker shut and turned away from him.
“Y/n please, talk to me.” He called after you. You turned your head slightly.
“Just leave me alone.” You said before leaving him in the middle of the hallway.
You were pacing around your room, trying to get your head straight. You had just got a call from Liam about what had happened at the abandoned zoo.
“Y/n! Your friend is here!” Your mom called from downstairs. A small and gentle knock was heard. You opened it, revealing Nolan.
“What do you want?” You say, crossing your arms. You looked down and saw a gun almost hidden in his pocket.
“I want to talk.”
“No. I don’t want to talk to you. Not after what you did to Liam.”
“I’m sorry.” He sighed, looking down in defeat. “But just let me explain.”
“Okay fine! What?” You asked in annoyance.
“What changed? Between us, what changed?”
“You chose your side, I chose mine. Easy as that.” You rolled your eyes. Nolan looked down at his fingers and starting twiddling with them, something he did when he was nervous.
“Maybe I’m in love with you.” He mumbles quietly. You almost didn’t hear what he said.
“You’re what?” You asked, in shock.
“Nothing. I didn’t say anything.”
“I heard you! No, no. You can’t love me. We're on two different sides. We’re enemies!” You cried.
“I don’t want to be your enemy.” He took a step forward and you backed up.
“This is a plan, isn’t it? It’s Monroe's way of killing me. Even if I’m human. Did she say something like ‘Any human on their side is a monster like them.’” Nolan’s facial expression changes.
“W-what? N-no!” You narrowed your eyes at him.
“Then why do you have a gun?” Nolan’s eyes widened.
“I-I-I...” He stutters but doesn’t get any words out.
“Speechless, I see. You know what, Nolan? Take the gun and shoot me. I’m sure Monroe and everyone else on your side would appreciate it.”
“No, I can’t do that.” He says shaking his head.
“Why not?”
“I already told you.” Your phone beeps from on your bed. A message from Scott.
Scoot: Meeting at my place right now!
“Look I have to go.” You say, moving to the door. Nolan grabs your arm and sparks from the contact travels around your body.
“Please don’t go, you have to understand, I‘m just playing the part they want me to play in. All of this, it’s just what they expect.” He begs.
“I’m sorry, Nolan. But unlike you, I have people who care about my safety. I’m gonna go.” You pull out of his grasp and head for the door.
“What if I change? What if I come with you? What if I fight with you?” You stop in your tracks. Hearing no answer, Nolan continues.
“What if I betray them, and come with you? I want to be with you Y/n. I need you. You don’t know how much I love your attention. How much I want to be your center of attention. I want to be yours.”
“Nolan... Please don’t..” You whisper. You can’t let your feelings get in the way.
“Y/n. Just let me be with you. I’m willing to do anything, just let me love you.” You sighed, turning around.
You and Nolan had a small stare down before you walked up to him. You cupped his face and kissed him. He quietly gasped at the sudden motion but kissed back.
When you broke the kiss, you hands held his and your foreheads’ touched.
“I love you Y/n.”
“You just used Justin Bieber Lyrics on me, but I love you too, Nolan.”

We also know, me personally from reading up on this character, that he suffers from mental health issues.
