I'm actually so mad right now, I had my first week of classes this week at uni and I asked my professor if there is any sort of formative essay (baring in mind we have to write two essays for this class which are worth 60% of the final grade for the class and this class is ¼ of my whole grade this year which is quite a lot so obviously I want to do as well as I can on the essays) and he fully just took the piss out of me for asking if we had a formative essay (basically a practice) and said formative essays are for first years and it's our second year now so we should all know how to write an essay, it was basically the academic version of "that's for babies" and it was super embarrassing and I didn't think I was rude or anything it was just a question he didn't have to be so mean and take the piss and ugh the I literally hate how older men think they can talk down to younger women and obviously I'm stupid and don't know how to write an essay and it's not that I want to get a good grade or anything!
