'Immaculate Order' | Rings Of Saturn | Dingir
So using wyld hunt as a search tag is fun
I was looking for ways to make members of the Wyld Hunt trying to penetrate the East and finally root out those Anathema.
Found lots of Guild Wars, but few Exalted stuff.
What would be things to consider? They are a full circle of Aspects, for one. They have contacts in the East: friends, family, old classmates. They are probably doing this out of their own pockets. Their fellow DBs are looting the treasury, anyhow. They would have the Immaculate Order backing them up. Maybe a Chosen of Endings. They are patient, good at tracking, and quick to adapt to the fighting styles of Lunar and Solar.
At least, they would be, if I want them to be worth a damn as antagonists.
Resolving headcanon
Assumptions
1) Wyld Hunts are not allowed outside of the Realm.
2) The Dragon Blooded of Lookshy follow Immaculate beliefs. a) At least, they see Dragon Bloods as a line of defense against supernatural threats. b) This includes Solars and Lunars, or Anathema as they call them.
3) The Realm and Lookshy Immaculate followers disagree on these points: a) The Scarlet Empress: I do not think the Lookshy Dragon Blooded hate her, but may think she is overstepping her bounds. I have no idea if they care about her disappearance, except for the impact of Realm’s response. b)Who gets to use First Age technology? All Dragon Blooded, or only leaders? c) It is uncertain if Lookshyans know about the Imperial Manse d)Who has authority in the East? Who is to help other cities? What if those cities do not want Realm help? e) Nature of the Anathema: did they enter pacts with the Yozis, then steal the power of the sun and moon? Or were they once legitimate receivers of solar and lunar power, who are now irrevocably corrupted by deals with the Yozis? f) Neither of them acknowledge the Creation Ruling Mandate. At best, the Solars had their chance and blew it. At worst, it is a lie straight out of Malfeas. g) Anathema: kill on sight, or study, replicate technology, and kill if threat to others? h) Neither group likes the Cult of the Illuminated.
Best real world analogy I can think of is the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic churches. Differences are political and cultural rather than spiritual.
