Four Minutes: A Fundraising Short Story

In April of 2017, musing on the implications of the (first) Trump Administration, I wrote the short story “Four Minutes,” a glimpse into an imagined near-future fascist state. I sold the story for a month as a part of my 2017 Year of Resistance, wherein I posted stories each month for that month only, with all proceeds going to the ACLU. Well, the specific fascist future I envisioned in “Four Minutes” didn’t come to pass…exactly. But I was pretty darn close. We got a different type of fascist future instead.
