"Jack!" As soon as Grian was aware of the other's presence, he screamed his name, "get out of here! Go! You don't need to see this!" You don't need to see what sort of monster I am. What sort of soulless thing I have tried to remove. The body jerked with one final hope for escape, the victim not entirely dead yet. A foot kicked Grian hard in the shin and he whipped around to send a heavy heel down on the sternum.
Impact caved the chest as the bone splintered. Blood gurgled out of the mouth like the ink of life and rage echoed in Grian's face as he stared at the woman that hurt Jack as the life left her eyes blank and staring. She'd grabbed him. She hurt him. He was afraid of her.
Now he wouldn't be afraid of her.But he might be afraid of Grian now.
The thought of it made him sink to his knees and hold his hands to his face.
"What have I done.."
