Holy crap @immortals-malec​ are you kidding me? That’s disgusting. Didn’t they learn their lesson with the crapass movie about making the book stans and CC happy? 

I was listening to the commentary for Good Omens and they were talking about how uncomfortable Crowley’s eyes were for David Tennant. THAT’s different because he’s supposed to have snake eyes, but why the hell would they change Matthew’s eyes? 

THEY make a big deal about ‘Alec’ blue eyes, but it isn’t important to the story. 

OMG I went to google to see what I could find on the subject and I found this. Good lord the book stans are too fucking much:

This is just casting and they are already bitching about Luke’s new job and Matthew’s eyes. 

I found another article about the casting of ShadowHunters, cue the bitching:

What the hell did they change in the movie? The movie sucked BECAUSE it followed the book to a t.

@tothetrashwhereibelong​ Yes you are so right, if they had stuck to the blue contacts, the books stans STILL would have bitched about the show. So it’s best that they didn’t cater to them and let Matthew’s beautiful hazel eyes do their magic.

I saw a post that reminded me that 3x12 was supposed to top 2x18... Holy fuck we're really gonna choke next week.

Not only that but the writers and showrunners said that 3x12 is going to top 2x18 which is going to be topped by 3x16. So to say we’re going to die multiple times this season would be an understatement.

I believe they're going with the book six plot, just with Magnus and Lilith, instead of Luke, Raphael, Magnus and Asmodeus. Since Anna's on set and the trailer showed her demon monsters from 2x20, which we learned was her demon form, attacking Idris.

I’m wondering if they’re just going to cram all of books 5/6 into those finale episodes, tbh. Because before they knew the show was cancelled, I doubt they worked too much from that far ahead into the rest of 3B, though they do seem to jump around a bit with who/what they’re including from the books so I suppose that’s a bit of a toss-up to guess at, really. 

But yeah, I can see that happening. They switched up the Jace and Clary roles for the dark parabatai bond, so I can see them switching up a few other roles, too. 

 I would love a plot where Magnus and Asmodeus actually have to work together to take Lilith down, one where Asmodeus willingly gives Magnus his magic back because he can’t do it alone, forcing a very reluctant partnership. but that’s a lot of wishful thinking and my usual love of villains and villain plots. Though it would make sense, based on how much Simon hates his mark and wants to get rid of it, that they would keep his plotline in trading it in the end to save -insert character here- because it fits where he’s at right now really well. Who the character is, Magnus or the other Shadowhunters or otherwise, who knows. 

I’m really curious to see what they keep and what they change from the books at the end here, especially since they had such limited time to write it out and work it into the series. It’d probably be easiest to keep the majority of it in line with the novels with the limited air time, but I guess we’ll see!!

Yeah, Hulu or Amazon would be preferable since it’s a matter of money rather than audience, but I’m happy with any other channel doing it too. 

I mean, MTV is lacking a teen fantasy after Teen Wolf, right? How about that?
