Feminism. Where I stand.
I'm an electrical engineer. I spend my day with mostly men. I'm all for feminism and equal rights and equal pay. I don't as much support this 'we need more female engineers' thing. Why not? Because... More women engineers won't fix anything. Let's not focus on more this or more that. Let's focus on equality of life and stopping discrimination. Fix discrimination; then it doesn't matter what they do, and they can do it happily. Be happy. Do what you love. Don't let anyone stop you. That thing you love, do it! Man, woman, child, whatever... do what you love! Things dont have to be balanced to be fun. I love the guys I work with and don't care if they're male or female. I'm just happy doing it. Don't force me to do things to have more women in it. I'm happy how I am thanks. If i want in, I'll probably ask. Always invite but I'm not just a statistic. Maybe I'd rather be an author anyway.
