Eerie modern yukata/kimono by Furifu, depicting blooming manjushage (better known as higanbana/red spider lily) and what is described as a cute tokage (lizard).

Higanbana are linked to death imagery, because of buddhist higan equinoctial week (where Buddhist services are held and people go clean tombs), and the fact people once believed they bloomed on Sanzu river's shores.

I like to believe the little lizard could actually be a luck bringing yamori (gecko) thwarting the dark undertones - unless we agree on a more ominous imori yokai ;)?

I find it interesting that some characters, like Imori and Duke, were interested in just the Puzzle and not the other Millennium Items like Bakura or anime Pegasus was. I wonder what Bakura would do if they did get the Puzzle.

Out of all these, Bugsy is like. The *most* trans coded. From GSC to HGSS, her team goes from all male to all female, even in the rematches. Her badge is shaped like a ladybug. When I first played HGSS in 2018 I fully thought she was canonically a girl bc i don't think there's dialogue that states otherwise. I was just like awesome schoolgirl who loves bugs that is so cool and moved on -- and also this
