Warnings: Slight Angst?? Fluff.
Sometimes Dean can be too protective but all of that makes her love him more.
The times Dean sat by her after a nightmare, the times Dean was by her side when some creep tried to spike her drink at a bar. The older Winchester didn't want any harm to come to her.
One hunt gone wrong almost took her away from him but she was strong and didn't give up.
Here Dean was, three months, four days and six hours since that fateful night. The night he admitted he loved her. The night a wendigo almost tore her to pieces. Sitting next to her in the hospital. Her much smaller hand in his own as he hummed 'Signed Sealed Delivered' the one song he always caught her singing while cooking pancakes.
She was out of the woods but that didn't mean Dean wasn't just as scared as the second he found her bleeding out. She was still weak but now two days out of her coma, he could hear her beautiful voice again.
Sam watched on from the door way, seeing the way she opened her eyes, mumbling the words 'I'm yours' in time with his brothers hums. It filled his heart with joy, seeing his brother and the girl he already saw as a little sister so comfortable and in love with each other.
"Yes, you are and I am yours too. I'm proud of you sweetheart, get some rest. Tomorrow we are busting you outta here and getting you some real food. " Dean whispered, leaning over to kiss her forehead. He was beyond ready to have her cuddled in his arms, watching a movie, as soon as she leaves the hospital.

When Y/N found out she was pregnant, she was overjoyed.
There was nothing or no one who could take that joy away from her. Her boyfriend, and baby daddy, was none other than Dean Winchester. The master of sweet talking and secretly the most romantic person she had ever met and it would be a huge lie if she were to say he wasn’t excited about having a baby. The only thing he was worried about was protecting the two loves of his lives.
Now, seven months gone, the Y/N who was excited about having a baby was long gone; fear loomed in her chest. It hadn’t been a smooth pregnancy and had taken a lot out of her. Multiple hospital visits were made to ensure both mother and child were safe, a brief miscarraige scare and Y/N passing out in the early months had terrified her but Dean had been by her side throughout it all.
Until now.
“What do you mean, you’re going on a hunt?!” Y/N snapped at the older Winchester, glaring up at him as they stood in the middle of the kitchen, her arms crossed on top of her growing stomach.
“We’ve been through this babygirl, Sammy and Jody both need my help. It’ll be a week, two at max. I’ll be back in no time.” Dean spoke softly as he wrapped his arms around his girlfriend, pulling her as close as possible with her belly the size it was. He gently placed a hand on her stomach as he started to sway with her.
“But, what if something happens to you? What if the baby comes while you’re gone? What if-” Y/N said but was cut off by Dean pressing his lips against hers, kissing her gently before pulling away and speaking.
“What if everything works out just fine, like it does every other time and this little guy holds out until his daddy gets home?” He asked with a small smirk as he looked down at the smaller girl. “ I promise you, I will be safe and I will be home as soon as I track down these vamps and gank them. Okay?”
“Fine… Before you go though, can you make me a Winchester special?” She asked with a hopeful smile, letting out a small giggle as he ruffled her hair after pecking her lips and walking to the stove to start making his signature burger for his girl.
An hour later, a fed and somewhat happier Y/N stood in the garage, watching as the love of her life climbed into the Impala. “If you die, I swear, I will bring you back and kill you myself!”
“For the millionth time, I won’t die! I’ll call you every night. I love you babygirl and don’t you dare do anything stupid while I’m gone.” This was the last thing Dean said before driving off, heading off to go and save the day yet again.
~A week later~
Being alone was hard, especially for a whole week. It was getting harder each day for Y/N. Every time she tried to do something the baby kicked or pressed on her bladder causing her to stop each time to either catch her breath or go pee. The stress of everyday life that Dean kept away from her during this pregnancy hit her when she tried to cook and clean along with finishing the baby's nursery. All through the week she had been getting slight pain which, according to a quick Google search, were Braxton Hicks but they’d been slowly getting more intense. She blamed it on the stress of Dean not calling for the past two days. The last message she got from him was a simple text reading ‘Almost done, should be home in the next few days. I miss you babygirl xxx’.
“I swear Dean, you’re changing the diaper for a month…” She mumbled to herself as she tried to get comfortable in bed, which with the size her stomach was now, was a near impossible task. The only thing she was happy about was that Dean and Sam had made sure the whole bunker was protected more than ever when she found out she was expecting so that no vengeful spirits could come after her and the baby.
The pregnant woman had just started to drift off to sleep after tossing and turning for an hour when she heard Sam’s voice call out from the living area of the bunker. “Y/N?!”
With a groan, she climbed out of bed and walked towards the younger Winchester, a smile forming on her lips when she realised that if Sam was here, then Dean would be back too.
“Woah, you’ve gotten bigger. I was only gone for a month” Sam joked as he held his arms out, pulling Y/N in for a hug.
“I missed you would have been a better way to greet me,” she teased but hugged him back happily, trying to look behind him to see where Dean was. “I’m glad you’re home safe. So, where’s the big goofball I call my boyfriend?”
Y/N watched as Sam’s face fell slightly, almost instantly avoiding all eye contact with the smaller girl as he looked around, obviously confused. “He isn’t home yet? He left to come home two days before me,”
Her face fell when it hit her. If Sam didn’t know where Dean was then maybe something happened to him. What if a demon attacked him while he was driving? So many thoughts ran through her mind and it was hard to organise them all as she swayed slightly.
“Woah, Y/N, let’s get you sat down okay? I’m sure he’s fine. No need to worry, you know how he is,” the younger Winchester said, guiding Y/N over to the sofa to sit her down before rushing to grab her a glass of water.
“If he was fine, then he would have been home by now you idiot!” She snapped, not meaning to but just as she was about to apologise, a sharp pain hit her as she gasped.
“Y/N are you okay?” Sam asked, placing the glass of water on the table and reaching out to help her stand up, his eyes widening when he saw liquid running down the inside of her thigh, spilling onto the floor. “Shit…” He mumbled.
“Honey, I’m home!!” Both Y/N and Sam looked over, seeing Dean walk in proudly, holding bags of what appeared to be baby clothes and toys in one hand, a giant stuffed puppy toy in the other. “Sammy? Hey, I didn’t think you’d be back so soon. What’s going on?”
He was cut off as Y/N cried out as a contraction started, doubling over in pain. In an instant, Dean dropped everything and rushed to her side.
“I-it’s happening…” She whimpered out, letting her boyfriend scoop her into his arms and rush her towards Baby.
“Just keep taking deep breaths sweetheart” he whispered as he got into the backseat with her, allowing his younger brother to drive to the hospital. “Step on it Sam!”
------------------------------
After a thirty-eight hour labour full of cursing and tears, ending with an emergency C-section, Y/N found herself resting in the recovery room, watching as Dean rocked their baby boy as he slept in his daddy’s arms.
“You did a great job sweetheart.” Dean said as he walked to her side, sitting on the edge of the hospital bed as he passed Bobby-John Winchester to his mum so that she could hold him.
“I couldn’t have done it without you De. By the way, what took you so long to get home and what was up with all of those bags? You scared me big time.” Y/N said as she cradled their son in her arms, pressing a gentle kiss to his head.
“We didn’t have many clothes or toys for a baby, so I got some things. The big puppy toy was for you to cheer you up from a long week without your handsome and sexy prince.” He explained with a laugh as she hit his arm playfully.
“Still doesn’t explain the three hours between you and Sam arriving.” Y/N stated, frowning as Bobby-John started to get fussy in her arms when the smell hit both parents. Dean carefully took him back and placed him on the changing table to change his diaper.
“I’ll show you exactly why when we get home,” he stated, groaning in disgust when he saw the state of the diaper. “Little dude, you could have been nicer to daddy on his first day y’know?” He chuckled and tickled his sides gently as their son laughed before falling back asleep peacefully once his dad had secured the clean diaper back on.
“Daddy has a whole month of diaper changes to get through. Just wait until it’s an explosion poop.” Y/N joked with a wink, the couple laughing in sync as Dean carried Bobby-John over so that he could kiss his girlfriend.
After three long days of staying in the hospital, Y/N and Bobby-John were given the all clear to go home, walking straight to Dean and her shared room whilst her boyfriend carried their son for her. Sam instantly fell in love with his new nephew and even offered to watch him so that the couple could get some rest.
Y/N froze and raised an eyebrow when she saw the crib sitting next to the bed. It wasn’t like any of the ones she saw in the stores; instead, it was made out of oak and had beautiful carvings on it.
“That’s what I was doing before I came home… I started making it. I asked Sammy to finish piecing it together but I did all the carvings. I even put our initials on the back of it. Do you like it?” Dean asked, fear in his voice as he slowly laid Bobby-John into it, covering him with the Scooby-Doo blanket he had also bought for him. Looking over at his girlfriend, he saw the tears filling her eyes and dread sunk in, thinking she hated it.
“I love it. I love it so much De!” She quickly hugged him, being mindful of her stitches as she pulled him down for a kiss. “Y’know… When Mr Bobby-John is a little older, maybe his daddy could work on helping his mummy give him a sibling.” She mumbled against his lips as she felt him smirk, resting his hands on her hips.
“I like the sound of that babygirl.” Dean said before kissing her again only to stop when he heard their son's cries. “Oh come on dude?! Let me make out with your mummy!”
He sighed as Y/N sat on the bed, reaching her arms out as Dean passed her their son so he could be fed. “Although… this isn’t a bad view either.” He admitted quietly causing Y/N to roll her eyes with a giggle, allowing Dean to burp Bobby-John and rock him to sleep once she was finished feeding him.
It was the little memories like this that she would treasure most, that and the fact Dean would do anything to make sure she was happy and comfortable. “I love both of you so much.” She told them, wrapping her arms around the taller man's waist, resting her head on his side as she watched him rock their son to sleep.
“We love you too baby girl.”

Daddy Dean Tags: @awkward-and-indecisive @dean-is-sams-apple-pie
Summary: You and Dean have had a strained friendship for a while but you've finally reached your breaking point.
Pairing: Dean x Reader
Warnings: Angst, swearing, fluff, hints of Depression.
Word count: 2012+
Your relationship with Dean has never been simple. Ever since him and his brother took you in after saving you from a wendigo that had sadly already killed your family, you felt as though Dean hated you.
Okay, maybe hate was a little too harsh, but he certainly didn't like you the way you liked him. Even Sam noticed how, as time went on, you tried hard for his praise, it's all you wanted. You, of course, wanted to make Sam proud of you too but Dean... You wanted him to look at you with a smile, tell you that you did a good job.
Instead, all you ever got was "You should've done better. " or "Maybe you shouldn't go on this hunt, stay behind, and get some rest, maybe get that cardio up a bit first then I'll reconsider letting you tag along"
So, that's where you were now, sitting in the bunker, alone. The boys left two days ago to track down some witch. You knew deep down you were more than capable but everything Dean said to you swirls around your brain.
'What if they both see you're useless and kick you out for good?' You think to yourself. That one thought had been with you since they left; so, you got to work cleaning everything. Throwing away food that was out of date, restocking the food and medical supplies along with cleaning both boys' rooms.
As you cleaned Dean's room you came across a photo he kept under his mattress while you were changing the sheets, it was Sam and himself in front of a classic car exhibition next to baby, but you were on Deans back, a bright smile on all your faces. A small smile crept onto your face as you remembered the day. Dean suprised you and Sam with a day out but it turned out to be more for him to show off Baby. It was so much fun though and he made sure there was something for everyone. Sam went off to a supernatural beings talk that a group of hunters were hosting in the area whilst you stayed with Dean. Although you do remember getting very distracted at a jack russell that someone had brought with them.
It was one of your favourite memories and you couldn't believe that you had forgotten about that day. You gently set it down and left to your room, only to come back a few moments later with an empty picture frame that your mum had made before she died to put it in. Once you set it gently onto his nightstand, you stood back and smiled at your work before leaving to continue your day.
Everything you did was to make sure they would be able to come home and relax and unwind. You made sure you ate every now and then but the only thing you made sure to focus on with your health was increasing your cardio and speed like Dean had said. You could see where he was coming from though, you weren't as fast as you used to be.
It was now a week into the boys being away and you found yourself getting minimal sleep. The anniversary of the wendigo attack was fast approaching, even just the thought of it made you tear up. You could remember every single moment, from watching it tear your family apart, to their screams; everything still haunted you and your dreams. You were snapped out of your thoughts by your phone ringing.
After seeing it was Sam, you quickly answered.
"Hey, is everything okay?" You asked, hiding the sadness as best as you could.
"Hi! Yeah, I just wanted to tell you, we are almost back. Dean's paying for some fuel and then we will be home in around ten minutes"
"That's great! I'll get some food ready." You told him.
"Sam, is that Y/N? Tell her to get the pie ready, we need to celebrate!" You heard Dean say above the purr of baby.
"Consider it done." You told Sam with a laugh before saying your goodbyes and hanging up. After you placed your phone down, you got started on putting the pre-made pie into the oven. After hearing the tone in Dean's voice, you could easily tell he was in a better mood than what he was before he left.
It wasn't long before you heard Dean and Sam walk through the bunker doors. "Hey pipsqueak!" Dean called out, a grin on his face as he walked over to wrap his arms around you gently to ruffle your hair.
"Hey Dean, I take it the hunt went well?" You asked, looking over at Sam who headed off to his room. This is exactly why you liked Dean, he may be a dick half the time towards you but when he is happy, you can't help but fall in love with the childish idiot in front of you.
"Good? It went great, we finished it in three days and then the people in the town celebrated Sammy and myself before giving me free beer and food." Dean said as he pulled away to grab his bags.
"That's great. So uh, you were done quickly then? I'm just glad you're safe, the pie is almost done so if you clean up it'll be on a plate ready for-" You started as he cut you off, holding back your disappointment about him finishing early but not telling you.
"Quickest hunt in a long time. I won't be long." Dean said and went off to his room, leaving you standing alone in the kitchen, a frown forming on your face.
...
"Y/N!!!!!" You jumped as you heard Dean's yell, standing up straight as he came storming back in, holding the picture frame in his hands tightly before slamming it onto the counter. You flinched slightly as the glass cracked slightly over the picture. "What the fuck is this?! Why did you go into my room, invade MY privacy?! We let you stay here for free, and this is how you repay us?!" He snapped, glaring down at you. His attitude had changed so much in such little time.
"I-I just. I tidied up. I also did Sam's room and well, when I found the photo, I thought you'd like it in a frame so I got one of my spare ones and... Fuck you Dean!" You snapped back at him, regret filling every inch of your body as you felt tears forming in your eyes, quickly running off into your bedroom before slamming your door shut.
Dean stood back; a little bit shocked at your outburst. Usually, you would just take it and then the two of you would have a beer and talk it out. This time you actually gave back but ran off.
"Dean, what the hell? Y/N was just helping us. What did you expect her to do for a whole week?" Sam huffed as he walked over to Dean, glaring at him.
"Go away Sammy, this has nothing to do with you." Dean mumbled, walking over to take the pie out before it burned.
"No, this has everything to do with me. You give her so much shit about how she needs to improve and that she needs to do XYZ to make you happy and she listens to you like you're approval is all she needs in life! She loves and cares about you and all you do is push her aside for some quick lay at a random bar. Do you even know what tomorrow is for her?" Sam asked, keeping his voice low. The last thing he wanted was for Dean to start yelling again and for Y/N to hear.
Dean stared at Sam, his eyes widening when it really hit him. "I didn't... I didn't realise. She's a great hunter! She really is I just don't want her to get hurt." He told Sam, taking a deep breath as he squeezed his eyes shut.
"It's not me you have to tell, it's Y/N" Sam told him and patted his back, picking the pie up. "And you don't get any pie until you do." He said with a knowing smirk, he knew that now Dean had to talk to you.
"Fine, but don't you dare harm my pie." Dean told him, walking off to your room. He stopped outside of your door and lifted his fist to knock but froze. A quiet sob from inside made his heart break and instead of knocking, he carefully opened the door and walked inside, sitting on your bed.
You had your head in your pillow to try and muffle your crying but even the gentle dip of the bed didn't break you out of it. You felt Dean gently stroke your back causing you to sit up slowly, only for him to pull you onto his lap to hold you close.
"I'm sorry Y/N, I really fucking am... I know tomorrow is, well y'know. Sammy really put things into perspective for me and... I need some help... This really smart, beautiful girl I know and kinda love, has been through absolute hell yet she's still here. I've insulted her more than I realised, and I want to make it up to her." Dean said softly, talking about you as he held you close as he gently rocked you.
"I'm sorry too Dean." You sniffled, hiding your face in his chest as he drew circles on your back with his fingers. "I just, I found the photo a-and I had a spare frame my mum made before she died... She always liked to make them, I just thought it was perfect for something like that." You explained quietly.
"Your mum made it? Shit, Y/N I'm beyond sorry, I love it, I really do. I'm scared though, you're an amazing hunter, hell you're better than me sometimes but I don't want you to get hurt. If you got injured, or worse, I don't know what I'd do with myself." He told you. You finally tore your face away from his chest to look up at him.
"I'd haunt your ass; you do know that right?" Y/N asked him with a small, playful smirk before gasping quietly as you felt his lips on yours. Melting into the kiss, you kiss him back, a small smile on both of your faces as he slowly pulled away after a few moments.
"You look like shit." Dean joked with a small chuckle, making you laugh slightly. "Hey, there's that smile! I really am sorry though Y/N, you know that right? Your family would be so happy and proud of you." He said, taking a deep breath. "I love you, you're perfect in my eyes and, if you'll have me, I'd like to treat you to a slice of pie and a movie night. Then tomorrow, how about we go to the dog rescue and find you a little companion? I know how much you liked that little terror."
"You remembered that?" You asked with a raised eyebrow before smiling brightly. "I love you too Dean, always have and always will. I like the sound of that. And she was a Jack Russell Terrier not a terror." You told him with a giggle.
"Eh, terror, terrier, same thing. Now let's get us some pie." He said and scooped you up into his arms as you laughed, letting him carry you out to the kitchen, seeing the pie laying on the counter with a small slice taken out of it and Sam nowhere to be seen.
"SAM! I told you to not harm the pie!" Dean yelled, placing you down on one of the stools, picking the pie up and pouting. "My pie..." He mumbled,
You bit your lip to hold back the laughter, but it failed, Dean looking at you with a smile. "Gotta love you both... You more so Dean." You said with a giggle as Dean pecked your lips and gave you a small wink.
"You know it."

Never in your life did you think you would wind up wandering the streets alone and cold with nowhere to go but here you were, three weeks down the line and still nowhere to stay. A sigh left your lips as you kicked a stone across the path. The sun had already started to set and with the nearest motel almost ten miles away, you knew there was no way you’d safely get there on foot.
That’s how you ended up walking into the ‘Winchester’s Roadhouse’ a local bar that, thankfully for you, was still open. As you walk towards the bar, you can’t help but cower down slightly at the feeling of peoples’ eyes on you, mumbling apologies as you almost bumped into a few people’s tables, keeping your head as low as possible.
“I’ll take a whiskey please.” You said softly, looking up briefly but never once meeting the bartender's eyes, keeping your eyes moving from looking behind him to his dirty blonde hair and to the wood of the bar table.
“Sure thing sweetheart. Y'know, I’ve not seen you around here before” The bartender pointed out. Using this moment whilst his back was turned to you, you took him in. He was tall, his plaid shirt definitely suited him, and you could make out the slight toning of the muscles in his arms.
You only snapped out of your daydream when he placed a glass in front of you, raising an eyebrow as he waited for a response.
“Huh… Oh uh yeah no I-I’m from out of town” Stumbling over your words, you mentally cursed yourself for the mess up, trying to calm your breathing as you remembered what happened the last time you messed up.
“Hey, no worries. It’s not often we get cute girls stumble through, at least not ones I don’t know” The man said, giving you a wink as he held his beer bottle and brought it up to his perfectly plump lips when your eyes met his green ones. To you it was like time had stopped briefly but you made sure to not look long as you took a sip of your whiskey, shaking your head slightly, letting the burn at the back of your throat help warm your body up.
“Shit, that’s strong” You mumbled as you coughed slightly before pouting as the bartender took the drink off you and replaced it with a beer bottle.
“This might be more your taste sweetheart. So, what brings you to this part of town? Got a boyfriend, husband?” He started before trying to read your face to figure out what you were thinking as you sipped your beer. “Or maybe a girlfriend, no hate here if you have a girlfriend. Charlie over there recently got with this really cute girl but refuses to tell anyone about her.” He continued as he pointed to a red-haired girl that was in front of a laptop in the corner of the bar.
“Just passing through. No boyfriend or husband, just a girl with a dream here.” You told him as you quickly finished your drink. The one thing you didn’t want was to tell him too much about who you were or what your dream really was.
“Well, it’s nice to meet you Miss girl with a dream. I’m Dean by the way, owner of this fine establishment.” Dean said, flashing a charming smile at you which you returned with a weaker one as you tried to keep your breathing as normal as possible.
“It was nice meeting you Dean, but I think it’s time for me to go." You quickly took out what little money you had in your pocket and placed it on the counter, eyes widening as you gasped, Dean's hand quickly wrapping around your wrist. "L-let me go"
"Woah, I just wanted to say, it's on the house. No need to be scared, I won't hurt you" Dean told you, sadness was clear in his eyes as he gave you your money back. You took a shaky breath as you put the money back in the pocket of your jacket before running out of the bar, finally allowing the tears to fall. The fear getting to you, but under all of that, you felt a small spark around Dean, something you've never felt before.
"You really screwed this one up Y/N. Why can't you just act normal for once?" You mumbled to yourself, taking a deep breath as you headed off to find somewhere to sleep for the night.
A few hours later
Dean ran his hands through his hair in frustration, something about you and how you acted he couldn't get off his mind. He let out a sigh as he walked towards his pride and joy, his impala, quickly getting in the driver's seat to head home. To him it seemed like the day just dragged on and he couldn’t wait to get home, have a nice cold beer and a snack before heading to bed. Dean was almost halfway home when he noticed two men surrounding a smaller body that was laying on the floor under a bench, causing him to pull up beside the curb.
Slowly, he stepped out of his car and walked up, narrowing his eyes when he saw one of them lift his leg to kick the body in its ribs, a small whimper leaving the person's lips.
“Oi! Jackass! How about you pick on someone your own size?!” Dean growled, clenching his fist at his side as he stepped forward, easily towering over both men by at least two to three inches.
“How about you mind your own business?” The one glared before moving forward, his fist raised to punch Dean, who easily caught his wrist, twisting his arm behind his back and pushing him into the other man, causing them both to fall.
“Get out of here before I make you. Oh, and by the way, next time I see you doing something like this, I’ll make you feel a whole world of pain!” Dean threatened, smirking slightly as they both scrambled to their feet and ran away. A scoff left Dean’s lips, looking over at the person before kneeling next to it. “Hey, I won’t hurt you.” His voice was a lot softer than it was talking to the other men. He gently moved to check the person's pulse when he saw your face, slight swelling already forming around your eye, and you were obviously in a lot of pain.
To you, it was all a blur; from leaving the bar, to being pushed around like a ragdoll by two men you barely recognised. You opened your one good eye slowly, the other swelling shut, only to meet two worried green ones. “T-thank you” You mumbled out as the green-eyed man gently scooped you up into his arms, snuggling into his chest. You couldn’t quite understand it, but you felt safe in his arms. Maybe it was because he saved you? Or maybe it was something else? You could barely focus on your thoughts, let alone your surroundings.
“I’ve got you; you’re going to be safe. I’ll make sure of it.” The man whispered to you. You could recognise the voice, but you couldn’t make out who the man was as your vision slowly blurred even more. You tried to give him a small smile but only the corner of your lip turned upwards as you faded into the darkness.
