“Celes, would you kindly... Stop judging me!?”
imperialturncoat said: This was to be expected. Rolling her eyes, Celes pulled out a rather large bag of candy from her traveling sack and set it between them. Rock candy, small lolipops, fruit and caramel candies and chocolate. You name it, it was probably in the bag.
She hummed while picking through what was in the bag of treasure. She knew Celes would pull through, considering how much time they had spent together by now.
“I guess I can let you off the hook this time, General No Fun. BUT you better not do this to me again, do you understand?! I worried my cute little face off way too much for you to just waltz in here and pretend you didn’t fuck up!”

“--If you’re gonna show up after so long, at least bring me something you icy bitch.”
imperialturncoat replied to your post: "Terra, you want someone that gets flustered at...
“It has to do with a man’s personal preference. Many men find women…visually pleasing. Don’t ask why, I’ve never understood it myself.
“But Edgar finds all women visually pleasing and is also apparently flustered by shoulders and ankles.”
imperialturncoat submitted:
The shaft was sleek and black, and the head was of an intricately carved lion. Where the blacksmith was able to find the gold inlay, she had no idea. Celes watched as Edgar handled the gift; she had an idea as to what his initial reaction would be.
But if he needed a cane (which he did for that awful knee injury of his), he’d get a multipurpose one with style.
“Before you say anything about what it is,” Celes said wryly. “Pull on the lion’s handle."
Initially, he tries his best not to look too terribly offended for his dear friend’s sake... But honestly, can he really be blamed?
A man as sensitive about his age as Edgar is would surely find the gift of a cane a huge blow to his ego, and he very briefly shoots Celes a look as if to say ‘Very funny; where’s the REAL gift?’ Canes are for old men, after all, and even one as finely crafted as--
Hang on a minute...
“Ahaa!”
A metallic glint catches his eye as the handle pulls away to reveal a blade hidden inside, and the King’s expression immediately lifts to one of almost boyish excitement.
It’s a sword. But also a cane. A sword cane.
In an amusingly quick change of heart, he finds that it’s shot up from the rank of ‘slightly offensive’ to ‘best gift on the face of the world.’
“I knew it couldn’t have been a joke! You’re not the type to do that to me!”
