From the last dragon Dream post. For some reason I feel like before this incident Dream might have gave Punz a lot of playful licks so (If not, welp ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯), when he has him in his mouth, wouldn't Dream recognize his taste or scent? Even if he's in that fight like state? Or like breaking that state?

Sooooo the answer to that is a no. For this au, if Dream went up and licked someone, it would literally be like if I walked up and licked you. Kinda gross, actually, and very unnerving if I'm like 20x your size.

As for taste and scent...even if Dream could recognize Punz's taste, his mouth is flooded with the scent of blood and meat. Same with smell. If those two senses were clear enough, maybe....but that's not the case.
