Whumptober Day 31. "Take it easy."

Izuku whimpers, blinks his eyes open, and tries to—

“Don’t you fucking dare, lay back down, Nerd.”

He drops his head back to the ground and turns his head. “Kacc—?”

“Shut up. You did great. Let Yaoyorozu do her thing now, okay?”

“Feels… cold.”

There’s a flurry of movement, motion he can’t really track as his vision is hazy and his head hurts. Something warm and soft settles over his chest and shoulders.

“Better?”

It’s not, but he nods. It’s nice.

“Just keep breathing for me, Izuku,” Katsuki says. “It’s over now. Take it easy. We’re all going home, okay?”

Whumptober Day 1. Swooning

The fight lasts for hours; Katsuki had the foresight to grab the fucker and bring him outside the city before any real damage could be done. At last, Deku throws him to the ground, and he doesn’t get back up.

Deku looks down at the slight crater for a few minutes before turning back to Katsuki and grinning, giving him a thumbs-up—

And then Deku’s knees give out and he lists to the side. “Deku!! ” Katsuki’s not fast enough. Deku smacks his head on the ground, and all Katsuki can think is, If he’s dead, I’m gonna fucking kill him.
