Beatbreak ABOVerse Scent hcs | KyoAsu
First off personally i'm of the opinion that scents don't usually signify dynamic type so feel free to use these hcs if you wanna!
So on the topic of scents for Kyo and Asuka.
Sorry Asuka but you're getting a flowery scent, it calls to me. :D
Asuka's scent as a base is surprisingly flowery, its quite gentle and honestly very soothing and comforting for people who might smell it. (it's probably something like a rose but I feel another flower would be more fitting)
His scent is also very subtle and only a few people can actually pick up on it quickly and it's mainly his parents, his brother (and also Kyo) who really are familiar with it.
Asuka has a tendency to mask his scent due to constant questioning and curious noses trying to understand why he smells like that.
(In my hcs, this is the case for either Omega Asuka and Beta Asuka, guy just smells really nice and people raise their eyebrows at it and Asuka is a bit sick of it frankly)
Asuka's subtle scent tends to get lost underneath any cologne/perfume he might wear but those with good noses can usually detect it because it's one of those smells that sticks in your brain once you've smelt it.
Another scent Asuka might have is something akin to a peppermint scent or even a really harsh menthol smell and thats usually if he's upset/angry/sick. (He smells cold basically)
So first up, compared to Asuka who has a rather subtle smell. Kyo's scent is a lot more intense, even if he's a bit more mellowed out now compared to what he once was.
I feel at the base Kyo has a rather rainy smell, something like like petrichor (the ground after rain) or the sky before the rain arrives. There also might be a bit of a woodey/natural element to it. Spring water and streams also probably work well for him too!
(Theres also a subtle flowery tinge to it, which smells similar to the flowers found at Nirinsou shelter, but there seems to be another flower scent mixing in with it as well, which smells similar to Asuka's scent.)
Kyo's scent also tends to be left everywhere and on anyone he cares about. It's very cat-like behaviour and yes he is in fact marking his territory. (You can blame cougarmon for this if you want to lmao)
His scent was a lot more dangerous as the Gold star and probably had a tinge of metal to it (almost like blood). There might have also been a bit of an ozone scent to it mixing in with the rainy smell, like a thunderstorm.
Basically, Kyo smelt dangerous, because he was dangerous.
While Kyo's scent is seemingly not as strong as it once was (Partially due to his scar damaging some of the glands on his neck) Kyo is still scarily capable of controlling his scent and how dangerous he wants to be.
Should you have threatened the things Kyo wishes to protect, You will probably detect a certain metal like scent similar to blood before you even realizing who is about to show up because you threatened some kids from that "glowing dawn" crew.
Oh yeah forgot to add this while writing, but in this, I feel that Kyo's nose and sense of smell is also incredibly fucking strong
It's how he's able to detect Asuka's scent at all. :D
