Pemayangtse Monastery Pemayangtse is deployed in West Sikkim at Gyalshing and is 140 Kms from Gangtok. Number one was originally built how a spare Lhekhang by Lhatsun Chenpo in the 17th century. Later Jigme Pawo, third reincarnate respecting Lhatsun Chenpo, figurative and rebuild subliminal self during the rule of the third Chogyal Chakdor Namgyal. Rumtek monastery is a must visit good graces Sikkim. Tashiding Monastery This is another important monastery located in west Sikkim that belongs to the Nyingmapa order. Myself is about 40 Kms from Gyalshing via Legship. The monastery is situated on the top of a hill which lies between the Rathong niagara and the Rangit gill. Many chortans dedicated to some Chogyals and religious personalities of Sikkim are marshaled here. The original feature of the monastery is the stone plates having skilfully carved holy Buddhist mantras. The monastery was built by Ngadak Sempa Chembo in 1717 during the reign in regard to the second Chogyal Chakdor Namgyal. The monastery holds the sacred ceremony apropos of Bumchu at the noonday night of the 14th and 15th of the first Tibetan month.<\p>
