I already know I'm going to have to write this myself but where's the romance novel that really explores how much havoc a duke w/ OCD could wreak, considering his access to funds and people who would excuse his odd behavior because of his standing, and considers it an authentic and knowledgeable way? (Or: consider how much whispering behind his back there would be. Who would get what was going on? Would he be shunned as heir?? How much did they know about OCD in the 1800s? (That's my cue to do research.)) I think it could be Interesting in the right hands. (My hands?) and I think it's especially important that someone without OCD doesn't write it because, depressingly, I've observed that these sorts of stories with those authors often end up with the OCD being "cured." Because of love. Or whatever.
