Do you have a favourite angsty Vanessa moment from the second film?
My favorite scene is forever and always the nightmare scene. It's just written and filmed exactly the way I would have. The shifts between the versions of Vanessa were so seamless and seeing Vanessa turn back into her younger self when confronting her father,,, and the house acting as a cage?? William not letting her leave ?? IT'S SO.. god it was so impactful. Like that's Trauma.
I also, of course, liked the ending. I know that's probably a hot take for being the Top Vanessa Supporter but I'm a sucker for angst and I even predicted something like this happening (Chap 8 of Papillomatosis) where Mike prioritizes the safety of Abby and makes the decision to cut Vanessa out of their lives, leading her to have no one left to keep her from tumbling off the deep end. I think it's such a realistic scene and I'm always a supporter of characters making irrational, emotion-driven decisions that might not be the right choice in the greater story/is selfish. It also just sets up for such a good third film.
Every movie has been detailing the slow spiral of Vanessa and I'm just so excited to possibly see movie Vanny on the big screen. I need her to be done well so that SB isn't Vanny's lasting legacy.
