It was my first morning in Paris. I had walked around aimlessly for hours until I ended up at the Eiffel Tower. It wasn't difficult to find. The lines to actually surmount the beast were thick and full of Asian tourists for the most part it seemed. Perhaps next time I'll actually find the patience.
So, I crept across the pedestrian crossing to the corner just before the Pont d'léna on the right side. There was a small tourist trap type kiosk peddling boissons et croissants. I bought one of each and found a nice place to rest while looking out at the river. These two cheery guys arrived and were nice enough to pose in exchange for a few nibs of my croissant.
