Imposter Lord || Cillian + Aria
"The list," Aria repeated again to the woman she thought was the head housekeeper for the Varmont servants-- mostly because she seemed to be the one that had one eye on Aria and Eilia a majority of the time. "The list of who is staying in which room? Or did you just shove guests into whatever door the were closest to?"
Aria was fed up with nearly everyone at that moment and snatched the piece of paper out of the house keeper's hands the moment she produced it. After being expecting one of the Malconaire sisters and being met with Cassimir instead, it was no surprise.
Scanning the list of names, she came across Malconaire and found that they'd been given a much more suitable set of rooms than their step family, which did raise her spirits slightly. She was about to hand the last back to the housekeeper when a name caught her eye.
Ormond.
That name again-- the name of the young man Princess Cassandra was so besotted with, the man with the fascinating stories... the man she was sure couldn't be the Lord Ormond she remembered from the past.
"Who is this?" Aria demanded, pointing at the name. The housekeeper looked at the name and back to the young woman.
"The Imperial Princess Cassandra was adamant that he needed a room, though he was not on the guest list for the --"
"Nevermind," Aria shoved the list back into the housekeeper who was now glaring at the young woman with a look that clearly said 'you can't talk to me that way, low ranking as you are.' Aria glared back at her before turning on her heel and marching down the hallway without another word.
Aria knew the houses of Astaira, all the way down to the smallest bannermen in the far corners of each county. She knew Lord Ormond was at least three times Cassandra's age and not capable of any of the great feats she claimed he'd told her all about. While it didn't matter to her that Cassandra was living in some fantasy world, she did want to know if there was some stranger masquerading around as a lord of Astaira.
There was no answer when Aria knocked on the door to the room that had been assigned to Lord Ormond. After a few moments, she knocked once again. There was no answer, but there was a distinct noise inside that indicated someone was there. Throwing propriety to the wind, she turned the knob and threw open the door.
It took her a moment to realize that she was staring at Cillian Frost, having not seen him properly in nearly two years.
"Cillian? What on earth are you doing in here?" she asked, looking around the room. She paused. "Tell me Valentina hasn't fired you? Have you had to find a new position with House Ormond?"
