Me: the same people who lost me my reproductive organs by misdiagnosing my tumors as hernias multiple times despite what I told them about growing lumps and severe pain?

Me: the same people that never caught my bad heart and connective tissue disorder, even when I kept asking for help, because they assumed I just wanted attention?

Me: the same people that told me gay people are an unfortunate but natural phenomena but asexuality is a mental illness?

Doctor:...

Me: the same people that told a suicidal 14 year old to stop being so dramatic about problems that are just childsplay and hormones?

Doctor: ...

Me: the same people that told me that the fossil record is a scientific hoax and that Hurricane Katrina was sent as divine punishment upon the Blacks and gays?

Doctor: ...

Me: ...

Doctor: rural America?

This is the fault of Fox News and Rush Limbaugh and everyone who normalized and made money off their lies. And I will hurt the next person I hear saying that both sides do it.

I could go back and reblog all of my post-election posts, because the rage and disgust are fresh once more.

Like the smug, "Lol liberals" posts about how Hilary Clinton was the ‘REAL danger’, and the lesser evil bullshit, and the petulant ‘fear-mongering isn’t gonna convince me,’ and the off the wall anons in my inbox saying she supported pedophilia, or whatever dumb nonsense was making the rounds that month. 

Every Trump voter can rot, but they certainly don't have the market on believing ludicrous bullshit cornered. I watched people suspend all critical thinking skills when presented with a sniff of negative "information" about a person they didn't like, same as any tea partier.

Like every single one of those scandals was bullshit. Do you realize that, now that the dust has settled? I remember the last one to come out, it was after the election (Lol) that said she supported slavery when Bill was governor of Arkansas or whatever. Now anybody with any familiarity with our evil criminal justice system, or The South, or who has just driven past those groups of incarcerated citizens picking up trash along the roadside could have (SHOULD have) been able to explain that prisoners in much of the country work (for pennies) doing things from assembly, to menial labor, to janitorial work in gov’t buildings, to dangerous shit like making them fight fires. I mean, that’s one of the big issues we protest ALL THE FUCKING TIME. That’s what “The New Jim Crow” and “13th″ are all about!! That the prison industrial complex purposefully makes a class of people into criminals to both deny them their rights as full citizens, and extract labor from them!

It is a horrible thing, but a thing that was not new when the Clintons were in Arkansas, or when her book came out this year. But guess what? It’s guaranteed to get worse under the new illegitimate, criminal, fascist regime! 

I’m not without blame here. I didn’t push back as hard as I should have against the foolishness. I consider myself pretty radical, and can admit telling people to suck it up and vote for a centrist candidate isn’t the best case scenario. Maybe I shied back from dinging my radical bonafides more than I should have.

I did not imagine people would choose--through their own ignorance and apathy--to dive head first into the worst case scenario.

My only comfort in all this is the growing mountain of evidence that Trump was likely not legitimately elected, due to help from a hostile foreign power. So maybe in another world, Clinton would have won the electoral college as well as the popular vote, and I wouldn’t feel like the entire American electorate should be consigned to a landfill.
