E-Life...
Bagged myself a nifty little piece of kit today It's by improv-electronics, called a "Boogie Board" It was purchased on a whim with no knowledge of the product whatsoever, but as it turns out its a pretty awesome gadget
IE like to call it an "E-writer", it's basically an ultra-thin 8.5 inch LCD screen with an erase button. You get a stylus but anything what a similarly small surface area works and you can draw / write whatever you can fit onto an 8.5 inch diameter screen
It's cool but limited - theres no save function, connectivity or selective-erase (you make a mistake after 30 minutes of careful drawing... start again!) But their website lists a whole host of cool related goodies, For instance: there's a 10.5 inch screen model for larger doodling, A wall mount which the pad slots in to, there is a model which has ring-binder slots (quite good for re-writeable dividers I thought) and apparently soon they will be releasing a model which can save (but not recall on the device) and then via usb you can transfer the image files to a computer for... well, whatever you want really
The Boogie Board concept gets my seal of approval and I actually think its good they started with a cheap-basic model, rather than storming into a niche market with a complex/expensive e-writer that also would have required alot of advertising to push If you like to doodle or take quick notes around the home or office, keep an eyes out for one!
