// sends everyone and their mom the same ones. every fifth question.
[No problemo, I love questions.]
5. Give one headcanon l have about my character(s).
I have quite a few headcanons for Mabel but I suppose one of them is that she has taken up the habit of reading any form of supernatural book she can get her hands on so she doesn’t fall behind everyone. She doesn’t want to be a dead weight or a sitting duck so she’s taking it upon herself to know things to help herself and others. As much as she feels safer with people protecting her, she wants to be able to return the favour sometimes. See: Coraline.
10. If my character were to die, how would I react?
I suppose it depends entirely on the method from which she dies. If it’s natural then I’ll be happy for her and be glad that she found peace but if anyone was to say, kill her to get to Coraline or anything like that—well, I might just flip my lid.
15. What RPer secretly wants character to do.
It’s no secret that Mabel does a lot of things on impulse so I kinda want her to actually think something through for once but considering it’s not really in her character, I don’t think that’s going to happen any time soon.
20. What does RPer dislike about character?
I had to think about this question for quite a while before I came up with an answer and even then it does sound slightly lame but I dislike how Mabel sometimes disregards herself entirely for the sake of others. I can see it getting her into a lot more trouble in the future and I’d really hate for something to happen to her so it worries me that she has this mindset of self-sacrifice; particularly when it comes to those closest to her.
// Hmm, every fifth question.
{Dick.
5. One head canon I have about my character
I have a lot of headcanons. Have a futurecanon.
When she’s older, Coraline will drive a hearse. She won’t drive it particularly, well, but she’ll drive a gutted-out white hearse, and she’ll deck it out with an underglow and sub-woofers.
10. If my character were to die, how would I react?
It depends on the method of death, and the implications of its finality (or lack thereof). If she died of natural causes — I guess I’d be pretty happy for her. I mean, she deserves that, you know? But the thing is with Coraline that that isn’t a likelihood. She deliberately puts herself in danger, because danger feels good. She had quite a deathwish, and I think I’m as apathetic as her when it comes to death. She’s becoming very desensitized to the idea — it’s the perpetuation of a consciousness after death that she’s afraid of. Then again — if she were to die, but remain as an entity, I could get excited about playing ghosty Coraline.
15. What Erin secretly wants Coraline to do.
I’d like her to grow the fuck up, is what I’d like her to do. It’s no secret that I’m not fond of Coraline as a person — she’s a rude, belligerent, obnoxious (and now broody) jerkass with a serious superiority complex, and an inferiority complex about it. I’d like her to try and maintain some degree of stability in her life. Find herself a permanent home and a purpose, choose a direction and stick with it. It’s a shame that won’t ever happen.
20. What does Erin dislike about Coraline?
See above. Her attitude, and the dark, fatal turn it’s taking, is really doing my head in. I myself am a very mean person, and I have no qualms admitting to it; but she’s mean, and she’s immature about it. She’s a child. I get it. But I don’t like self-entitled children like Coraline. That and the fact that she is EXTREMELY power-hungry, and moe attracted to power than words could ever express. }
