oh, he would be deep in mourning. there’s silence, denial, but he knows too well what’s the truth, and he can’t evade it. he’d burst in tears, and have no clue what to do. him and his father aren’t emotionally the best when it comes to expressing their care for each other, but if it happened during his year of probation, he’d regret everything; from doing what he did to not contacting him earlier. expect to hear nothing of him, but neither expect him to fully wish to be alone. most likely he’ll be with his mother and stay there for a month.
yes, eventually he goes on with his life, but each year during the time his father died, expect him to be silent and sad. most likely ren would want company from those he considers close to just evade the oncoming slaught of negative emotions.
