Everything has Changed

Sometimes, all that is left for us is to accept that some things are never coming back to what they are used to be.

They say that over time, it gets easier.

Losing someone that is. But I've come to find that it gets worse. Maybe it dulls and fades at times, but inevitably it gets worse. The space in my bed gets bigger, the silence in my car more deafening, the ache of missing someone who was your world getting bigger in my chest. Swelling like a balloon.

And yeah sometimes you don't notice as much, but when you're alone and thinking of that person whose gone. You feel the difference.
