Two sketchbooks with nearly thirty seven years between them and I still seem to be drawing pictures of Ayr beach. The original one was my first ever proper sketchbook and I’d written a quote from ‘One Warm Saturday’ by Dylan Thomas which on reading again just seemed to echo the odd feeling that despite the years, nothing has really changed at all.
