Top 5 of 2018
There will be no top 5 list this year, as there were not even 5 music videos that blew me away. A$AP Mob still does good work and respectable videos are still made, but nothing really comparable to the best videos from previous years. Only “Colors” by Beck even really tries.
Most Best-Of lists that I have seen are pretty bad too. We get it, you liked that one Childish Gambino video. Let’s all just ignore for a minute how forgettable the song is. Like we pretend that it isn’t sad to basically be ‘the poor man’s Kanye.’
I would refer you to imvdb.com’s ‘Best of 2018′ list. They found some good stuff that missed everyone else’s radar and kudos for them to keep the torch burning. They are the last site I know of still fighting the war and God bless them for having it in their hearts. Riders on the storm.

spoiler though: ‘Childish Gambino can’t make a catchy beat’ makes their #1 but then they instantly redeem themselves with a bold pick for #2.
