Imyari, Meya’s mother, was a responsible, somewhat anxious parent until Meya ‘ran away from home’.
* Told Meya that she could not have a mo-hawk until she was 16, because she didn’t want Meya to stand out for negative attention any more than she already did as a stubborn, bossy, Dunmer child in Skyrim.
* Told Meya not to eat food off a knife. The scar on Meya’s lip comes from not listening.
* Told Meya that Skyrim gets cold, colder than Meya had any concept of, having lived all her life in Falkreath Hold.
* Intercepted Meya when she tried to sneak off to join the Companions (Meya idolized her uncle Veren, a mo-hawked, longtime Companion). Gave Meya a bag of more suitable provisions and supplies, and informed her that she was first going to the College of Winterhold. Meya was to spend one year there, learning how to mend wounds, and to stay warm, and then she could go be a cheap mercenary.
