People might say how VR Endou is out of character, how him being a bad father wouldn't be canon, and they're not really wrong but...
You know who isn't out of character? You know who's characterization was so good I almost thought I was a fake fan for not even thinking about that option?
KIDOU. AND HIM HAVING AN ADOPTED SON. Kidou having a kid at all is already really in character because of his kindess and ability to care for others (and as a big brother).
NOT ONLY THAT but supporting Alice by telling him not to obsess over defeats, and instead learn from them. He's grown now, and is finally over his own "winning" obsession back in Teikoku academy. Guys I really love Kidou Yuuto
a lot about raika seriously reminds me of og gouenji. probably why im hyperfixating on her currently... if s1-s3 gouenji was more assertive, that is.
the same keeping everyone in an arms length, everyone assumes you're good at everything, raised in a pedestalize and that's why you don't have anyone as a best friend even though you get along with a lot of people and is widely loved, and nobody worrying about you because they assume your will and heart is made of steel. that kind of thing, you know, aside from the older family wanting you to be like them part.
gouenji was treated leagues better by katsuya compared to what raika's going through. they're also both such fast learners and really intelligent characters. if you squint you can say that gouenji is as jack of all trades as raika is canonically (but that's mostly because gouenji was the narrative's favorite /negative so this means they can't show him flopping vs raika's background that needed her to be good at everything)
they tend to instill their version of justice on others for better or worse and immediately think they're right. when it comes to their skills, they assume they're always at their peak performance and take criticism when somebody points out otherwise.
they also wrongfully projected on others who were currently hurting (gouenji with fubuki and raika with kameo) and i love that flaw in characters the most.
you know stuff is getting real crazy in your head when your new favorite character sense of style is:
i love his shih tzu looking ass
He’s so silly goofy
What a blorb
Take a sneak peek at the Victory Road beta scripts! Both of them!
Looking for something to do instead of playing football on this fine not-release day? If so, then the Story Mode scripts for Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road's beta test might be up your alley! Collecting tens of thousands of words of dialogue in two variations, these sister documents provide a window back into the discontinued demo with all its highs and lows and typos.
For Version 1.1.0 (Switch), go here!
For Version 1.2.0 (Steam), go here!
[NOTE: these are the pre-conversion proof copies, and as such may have some unintended errors. If you notice anything that doesn't look right, please do let me know!]
Vicro spoilers!!
It's hard not to think back to 2017 when the last Inazuma Eleven project was announced. Won't talk much about it, but instead focus on the big amount of information, PV, Teasers, side projects and the absurd amount of merch that we got bombarded with, and that you can still find today since it was Inazuma Eleven 10th anniversary. Ares and Orion truly live through merch, and good for them!
But Victory Road has been more subtle, quiet even. Level-5 knows of its past mistakes with the 2 scraped Ares games, showing us a different side that's only focused on the main game. No crossmedia project, no anime adaptation, only the animated Unmei and Haru (with not a single line of dialogue either) scene made by MAPPA. We don't have a release date yet, who knows if it gets pushed! But it truly shows how this game wants to still be part of Inazuma Eleven's legacy, yet be its own thing.
Like the concept art showing you the new cast in their moments of quietness, this sensation is the future of the franchise. And I'm here for it.
