What happens in the city, stays in the city... [Allen/Popuri]
It was just a casual trip on a breezy Autumn day, on a casual train, into a casual city. Casual. Totally casual. Which is why Popuri shouldn't have been so nervous and jumpy once she got there. Don't get her wrong, she was completely thrilled getting ready, leaving the house, and hopping on the train to the bustling city streets. The pinkette could barely keep herself from smiling.
Being there was something she'd always dreamed of! The tall buildings, the noisy streets, the fast-paced people; this was the life. The young woman had never spent a day away from the country side where she grew up, only hearing stories or reading about this bustling city world. It's like she was the Little Mermaid and the country side was the sea and the this city was the land she was dying to walk on. But now that she was there she sure did feel like a fish out of water.
Yes, she dressed up in one of her fanciest dresses. And yes, she knew what she had to do here. But wow was it huge here! Everything was soaring up into the sky and even some of the people towered over her. It's like the jitters one would get on the first day of school at a new school. And you know how people tend to get lost on the first day? Well, Popuri was definitely that person here in the big city.
Mistel had been nice enough to give her the names of a few stores and even a nice place to eat, but the pinkette had failed to obtain their location here between the skyscrapers. She was walking around blind, with nothing but a piece of paper with the names of places she had to go to on it. So she clutched her purse strap tight and approached a harmless looking man talking to a group of other men.
That turned out to be a bad idea. One look at Popuri and the guy was ready to pounce. Lesson one of the city; no man is truly harmless, do not approach if unknown. He kept getting closer and she kept back up, her back against one of the trees growing on the sidewalk. The pinkette could barely breath, scared for her life, she stammered out excuses as to why she couldn't go anywhere ever with him. But now she was reaching for her hair, holding the pinks curls between his fingers and placing his other hand over her head onto the tree.
This may not end very well.
