bestie i don’t even know where to begin after the emotional rollercoaster u just put me on omg i’ve been peeping all the asks u’ve been replying to about ur breaking the collar series and i finally mustered up the courage to read it (i was hesitant since i rly don’t know much about genshin but I LOVE ur writing) aND JESUS CHRIST I AM ABSOLUTELY WRECKED. ENTIRELY DISTRAUGHT. EMOTIONALLY IN TURMOIL.
the fact that history repeats itself just so, with childe and the reader was rly such a punch in the gut my god and the fact that childe is so completely aware of how fucked up all of this is (it sounds terrible but i genuinely laughed when he mentioned therapy while he was talking about how he was going to try to fix things between the two of them)
the way that u wrote childe to be so likeable was also that much more heart-breaking in the end dear lord it’s how u described his inability to hide his emotions in his eyes and how u painted his pain and his past aND HOW U COMPARED HIM TO THE OCEAN ARGH
i think the ending you went with was perfect – the twist and the reveal (despite being hinted at) still made my stomach drop and childe being able to somehow “undo” the mistake he wasn’t able to with lumine (in his mind) was rly just the fkd up cherry on top
