XLN Wi-Fi hits 20,000 hotspots - with support from GlobalReach Technology

‘Rapid expansion continues to small business customers, building one of the biggest public Wi-Fi networks in the UK’

LONDON, 9 May 2017 - XLN – the UK’s leading provider of phone, broadband, energy and card processing services to more than 100,000 small businesses – has announced that its Wi-Fi service has passed the new milestone of 20,000 public hotspots in the UK.

Rapid expansion of the network has continued since launch in October 2016, driven by customer demand and growing end user adoption.

From April 2017, XLN also announced support for Wi-Fi Roaming across its network. GlobalReach Technology and BSG Wireless have provided the infrastructure to make this rapid expansion possible; with XLN leveraging GlobalReach’s AAA RADIUS and captive portal management platform and BSG Wireless providing its industry-renowned ‘roaming hub’. The technology provides XLN with a carrier-grade, community Wi-Fi network to offer tiered services to business customers and guests.
