thank you for standing up for troy otto, the hate gets ridiculous

while i appreciate this anon i just wanna clear one thing up real quick: i'm not defending troy. i like troy's character because i feel like he brings so much to this season of the show, but troy has done some very terrible things that can't be defended, and i can see why there are some people who would hate his character. the point of my post was to simple state how i feel it's a little fucked up that people don't want him to change, or to at least redeem himself. it's very obvious that there is more to troy's character than what we seen in the first couple of episodes. he has shown massive improvements, especially since he has gotten so close to nick. troy has come from a life of torment and abuse, both physically, mentally and emotionally. that was made clear from the videos that madison had found in jeremiah's collection. i don't feel like troy was always like this (even though i seen some people say that he was). hate isn't something you are born with, it's taught, and jeremiah pulled troy from school, pulled him away from his friends and basically isolated him on that ranch and filled his head with all sorts of bullshit. jake was lucky and was able to make it out and go to college— troy wasn't that lucky. he forced to stay behind and take care of his mother, partly out of guilt, but mostly because he thought that if he did so then she would love him in return like he loved her. all in all i really hope we get to see troy make a turn around. i feel like nick is good for him and i hope that if or when he dies, i hope he at least gets to prove to himself and those around him that he wasn't the monster we first met at the beginning of this season.
