waves crash against the pier, slowly chipping away at its already decaying shape. the air smells salty, as the coast always does. sumire is not used to the peace and quiet, but her body requires some time to recover after being so involved with the shinjuku showdown. she wants to go back, relive the moment, see the life go out of the opponent’s eyes— but she cannot return to the past. if she could, she would’ve changed a lot of things by now. she supposes she can live with small amounts of regret. she will be remembered for her vicious nature in battle, her constant drive for power. nobody will remember the way her hand hesitates as her bones contort into the shape of a sword, nor the result afterwards.
eventually, she takes a seat on the edge, water splashing up to the soles of her shoes. eye averts downwards, one hand resting in the palm of her other. she looks like she’s at peace, yet she constantly tries to feel for those who could be around her, possible enemies. that’s probably why she recognises the aura of @incantiori so quickly.
❝ i won’t be staying for long. ❞ sumi kicks her feet, quickly stands up so she has no longer let her guard down, even if it was never completely down in the first place. perhaps she doesn’t want to show that she can be weak, too. it reminds her of the humanity that she has lost, and she despises every single second of it. her head turns, eye piercing into utahime’s. ❝ japan bores me. ❞ she’s not sure where she will go next. maybe somewhere in europe. she has always heard that it’s nice at this time of year, after all…
