happy to be home 💖
And today was the day of the famous irish 4 seasons on one day. Beautiful sunshine this morning, then pissing rain, then windy and then cold. (Ireland doesn’t get a warm summer…. Cold is our summer though in saying that during lockdown I got a fabulous tan over a week and looked liked I had been in a tropical paradise but those rules don’t apply to West Kerry in October)
Anywhoo, I was left with that same problem of driving and using my phone for goggle maps and getting annoyed cos I couldn’t take photos but manged to stop a few times to get a few shots.
I pulled down a little tiny road and into a farmyard driveway to get these. Now I may be wrong but google told me these mountains are called Slieve Mish Mountains. (I triple checked, they are called so). At one point I was driving with these mountains to my left and the ocean to my right and it was beautiful. Not soo much the mad speed limits on the tiny Irish roads going through the mountains, 100km an hour and that’s the speed on a dual carriageway here, our motorways are 120km! Madness!
Now this isn’t the road that was 100km but the one I went down to get the previous pictures. This is not considered a tiny Irish road. It has actual road markings!
I then took a mad turn left down a single tiny road with green bits growing in the middle, that had no road marking and only enough room for one car, to head to a place called Inch Beach and it brought me here…
And then here....
This is called Inch Beach and is beautiful. Soft sand with many seashells and the sound of the ocean was so peaceful and lovely.
And I shall continue my adventure today in my next post. It only lets me post ten pictures at a time and I knew this and I had the whole post done and it wouldn’t post so I am splitting it up!
Atlantic waves beat upon Inch Beach between the Dingle and Iveragh peninsulas in County Kerry, Ireland.
Found a bunch of cats chillin at the beach❤ Naturally right by the sign to the toilets....
