Day 20 - Exploring one of the bone caves at Inchnadamph late this afternoon and looking out to the wild interior of Sutherland. The list of animals whose remains were found in these caves is quite remarkable: arctic fox, lemming, badger, brown bear, vole, hare, lynx, otter, ox, pig, polar bear (!!), wildcat, reindeer, puffin, ptarmigan, toad and a number of fish. Oh and four humans. Must have been crowded ;-)

Bumped into these two magnificent wild beasts today in the Highlands. They didn’t seem too bothered by me. I took this from the window of the Land Rover a few miles south of Inchnadamph. Inchnadamph is an anglicisation of the gaelic name Innis nan Damh meaning Medow of the Stags. . . . . . . . . . #inchnadamph #reddeerstag #hiddenscotland #albagamefishing #westcoastscotland #nc500 #instascotland #lovesscotland #outandaboutscotland #scotlandgreatshots #scottishhighlands #roadtripscotland #landroverdiscovery4 (at Inchnadamph, Highland, United Kingdom) https://www.instagram.com/p/BslCEydDE1u/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=ng7sfbac0j12
