when the fortune teller told anne that her true love was tall, dark, and handsome, anne assumed it was gilbert, right? but then she saw gilbert with winifred, and ended up disappointed, and when anne returned to the fortune teller, the fortune teller told her there were plenty of other fish in the sea, advice which anne will probably take to heart. in the books, charlie sloane was just a minor love interest, and from what we’ve seen of him in the show, he’s likely to remain that way, since he doesn’t exactly fulfill anne’s ideals about romance, but the character ROY GARDNER on the other hand ....
since the show loves bringing on the ANGST, thus i conclude that it’s only a matter of time before roy gardner is introduced to further complicate matters 🤡
