my friend sara always puts like a little cloth over her laptop when she isn't using it. it's a vestigial habit developed from living in/having a studio in a warehouse with giant windows - kind of like putting the stuff in your car in the trunk before you leave it parked so it doesn't appear tempting, but obviously more toothless. but I like the habit so I always put my lappytoppy to bed before I leave town for a trip without it.

some screengrabs from the google books version of paper politics - the book that P’s exceedingly sweet and thoughtful partner bought for me on a whim in DC before we spent a sweet half hour drinking coffee and sitting in baltimore. Not all of these are my favorite, but rather a bunch with the curatorial limits of “explaining activist graphics to middle schoolers” “not too many big words” “no sexually explicit content.” still, that little gay screenprint to the bottom is pretty sweet.
