Today, at the drive-up ATM, I lowered my driver window. After using the ATM, my window decided it didn't want to go back up! Not ideal when it's winter, it's been snowing heaps (like, at least 11 inches), wind is whipping said snow around all day at a glorious 20mph, and I still need to drive to the laundromat and grocery store.... -_-
Luckily, the local Monro Muffler had their last appointment block open today (the only slot available after my work shift). I had just enough time to get home and change before having to turn right back around and drive the 7 min or so to the garage (again, with the sun down, the wind whipping, and temps dropping.... yay).
Sadly, they didn't have the part needed to fix my window. They will have it tomorrow, but I'll be at work the entire time they're open. So, instead, I get to start my 2026 sitting in the garage waiting room as they fix my window. Weeeeeee.
(They did close up my window with a clear tarp to tide me over for the rest of today and all of tomorrow)
2025 really wanted to give me a big, wet kiss goodbye, huh?
On the plus side, I get to spend the hour hanging out with these amazing fellas (gender neutral)
This is apparently Geoff. He was on the reception counter. The head mechanic/Monro manager who made him also has a long goatee. Maybe Geoff here is a self-portrait of sorts?
Cutest little alien dude. This guy was hanging out in the counter display cabinet. Looks like it's itching to help you out with your next tinker.
Finally, we have this dapper gentleman by the waiting room chairs. So fancy with the cane and boater hat.
I complimented my new friends, and the mechanic/sculptor just bashfully replied, "I was bored..."
My dude, I wish I produced stuff this awesome when I was "bored"....
At least I get to spend more time with my metal buddies on Thursday. 😅[grinning face with sweat emoji]
