How to Instantly Increase your Memory
Seriously, this next little piece is going to explain to you how you can increase your memory and it’s easy. To increase your memory, all you have to do is memorize this list: Gun Shoe Flea Door Dive Sticks Heaven Date Blind Pen How does this increase your memory? After you’ve memorized the list; which shouldn’t take too long since each word rhymes with the number its next to (or sort of rhyme, let’s not get too technical), make yourself a list of ten items. You can make this list yourself by just looking around the room or ask a friend to rattle off some items for you. Go the list one at a time and visualize some sort of connection with the number it is on the list. In other words, let’s say the first word on your list is glass. One is gun, so you imagine in your mind someone shooting a window with a gun. Or maybe imagine a gun made of glass. It can be as stupid and crazy as you want; no one is going to know what you’re imagining anyways. Most of my visualizations would ban me from performing at the half time Super Bowl show. After you briefly visualize, forget it and go on to the next item on the list. Let’s say item 2 is bird. Easy, imagine a bird sitting inside of a shoe. Go on to 3 and so on until you’ve visualized each item on the list. These are called memory pegs. After you’ve done this with all ten items, have your friend name a number between 1 and 10. Thanks to your visualizations you should be able to recall very easily each item on the list. That’s it! A very easy way to remember a list of items, you can even speed the process up by visualizing as you write the item down. Memory pegs can be used to memorize anything from grocery lists, to test questions or even people’s names. All you need to do is take the time to memorize the pegs, which isn’t too hard because they rhyme. Try it out, if you sincerely give it a shot you’ll be surprised by the results.
