You happen to know if those powersaves only work on physical copies? I digitally downloaded my ACNL games from eShop, but have thought of getting an AR if it'll work on them.
It only works on physical copies as of now, since the device itself calls to insert a cartridge into it. :c Hope they come out with a way to alter digital copies in the future as well!
