Recentemente il Ministero non ha approvato il nuovo Statuto dell'INdAM (Istituto Nazionale d. Alta Matematica), obiettando, tra altro, sulla modalità elettiva di designazione del Presidente dell'INdAM; di conseguenza d'ora in poi la nomina avverrebbe per designazione del Ministro, senza alcuna consultazione della comunità matematica.
