"What time is it?" Sybil asked, turning her head slightly, trying to catch a glimpse of the alarm clock that had been placed on the bedside table.
"Almost noon," Tom answered, taking a sip of his coffee.
"Sybil's eyes widened. "Noon!?" He simply nodded.
Good heavens...she couldn't remember the last time she had slept in so late. Even back at Downton, before she had become a nurse, she would never have been allowed to stay in bed that long, unless she was recovering from an illiness...
Tom must have read her mind, because he murmured in her ear, "in our defense, love, we didn't get much sleep last night..."
The other fun moment from when I played some of the Fargo pilot on the DVR on Easter Sunday: My aunt wandering over to see what we were watching, then pointing at the TV and exclaiming, "That's John Watson!"
Only recently did I notice that "Get It By Your Hands" is what Ray was humming. I just listened to the song again and the background was her harmony. Now I just want to cry.
