after reading the article it really made me think of graffiti art now compared to back in the 80′s and 90′s. Back then there really wasn’t the internet circulating photos of graffiti from around the world for people to see and for people to copy other writers styles as easily. Now days you can look on any social media site, google, or youtube and see graffiti no problem. You can see so many “wannabe” writers trying to bite writers styles and its getting boring seeing the same stuff over and over
The poor image is no longer about the real thing—the originary original. Instead, it is about its own real conditions of existence: about swarm circulation, digital dispersion, fractured and flexible temporalities. It is about defiance and appropriation just as it is about conformism and exploitation.
