The Independent Documentary film ‘Children of Disease’ still has one casting spot left!

‘Children of Disease’ tells the stories of five families as they struggle to battle parental chronic illness and raise their healthy children. The film explores the affects of having an ill parent on children and young adults. If you grew up with an ill parent or you are a parent with a chronic/long-term illness please consider applying.

We are seeking non-white families who are willing to share their story in this new documentary. See below for the qualifacations:

-The whole family must be willing to be interviewed on camera both individually and together

-The parent(s) was diagnosed with a chronic/long-term illness some time before the child(ren) turned 16

Watched this on my PBS online streaming service, over the weekend, and man!

It won a jury prize at Sundance Film Festival, in 2017, and I can understand why.

(I’m not even a fan of a lot of the music they talk about here-- punk, rock-- but I got into it.)

Please Support The New Fire

On Kickstarter, there is a campaign with seven days to go and is less than $4,000 away from its $20k goal.  This goal of this campaign by David Schumacher is to raise money to finish and increase the effectiveness of the motion graphics in the independent documentary called The New Fire. Generation IV reactors and the role these technologies can play in fighting climate change will be explained in this documentary.  

As someone who closely follows Gen IV reactors, I am excited about the new things that I will learn about on this topic.  Furthermore, this documentary is important because many people simply don’t know about these great technologies.  Please support this campaign.
