[they needed a posterboy for the face of Overwatch while Reyes did the actual dirty work behind the scenes. Reyes was more competent when push came to shove and could be relied on to get shit done in a Black Ops position. Morrison had the better personality to deal with statues and magazines. The decision for Strike Commander had been pretty damn clear and with how Reyes is chill about it in Uprising and Retribution, it proves the point that the right decision was made]
Also true. True, and I’m not saying my opinion is the TRUE opinion. Just that it’s some things I’ve noticed. I appreciate your perspective on this. I’ve had two other people debate this exact point with me- and yeah, I can come back and see where Jack would definitely be the better choice for Strike Commander because he’s less of a public relations nightmare and Gabriel would have been better suited for Covert Operations.
But it doesn’t take away that not all of those implications are solely based on the content of his character. No one is perfect, unfortunately :< The world is full of people doing the wrong thing for the right reasons, and judging people incorrectly based on things that they shouldn’t.
