India’s Cold Desert Biosphere Reserve enters UNESCO’s Global Network
At the 37th ICC-MAB session, the Cold Desert Biosphere Reserve in Himachal Pradesh was added to UNESCO’s World Network of Biosphere Reserves (WNBR). This makes it India’s first high-altitude cold desert site to gain global recognition, joining 12 other Indian reserves already in the network.
