This Garam Masala Potato & Onion Sandwich is a flavorful twist on the classic sandwich, featuring a spicy potato and onion filling seasoned with aromatic Indian spices.
Ingredients: 4 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed. 2 onions, thinly sliced. 2 teaspoons garam masala. 1 teaspoon cumin powder. 1 teaspoon coriander powder. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder. Salt to taste. 8 slices of bread. Butter or oil for toasting.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, sliced onions, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well until all the spices are evenly incorporated. Spread the potato and onion mixture evenly onto 4 slices of bread. Place the remaining 4 slices of bread on top to form sandwiches. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat. Spread a little butter or oil on the pan. Place the sandwiches on the pan and toast until golden brown and crispy on both sides, flipping halfway through. Once toasted, remove from the pan and let them cool slightly before serving. Cut the sandwiches diagonally and serve hot.
