The clocks changed last night.
The clocks changed to BST last night in the UK, so it means 4.5 hours of time difference rather than 5.5 between the band (since one half of it functions according to IST).
One hour may not seem like a lot, but somehow it makes a lot of difference. I guess it’s because it feels like we’re both in the same part of the day for most of the time. This is also compounded by the fact that one of us experiences no changes in the clocks according to season at all.
7 AM BST is before noon IST, so definitely both in AM. 10 AM BST is veering towards afternoon, and 2:30 PM IST is not as far away as 3:30 PM IST which is almost evening. 6 PM BST is around dinner time anyway, and 10:30 PM IST isn’t quite that late so there’s still some activity in the PM hours.
Timezones. Who would’ve thought we would become pro at counting backwards and forwards, and experience the past or future vicariously when one half of a band lives behind or ahead of time for another?
