When the Worlds on Fire
The Apocalypse fucking sucked. Another earth shattering quake had hit, the earth between their feet, literally splitting at the seams, fell apart to show yet another abyss into the inky black hell that was the center of the earth. A tree fell through the cracks, hitting a gas tank next to them causing it to explode into an almost poetic burst of flames and, fuck, things couldn’t get any worse.
Sweat, soot, and now gasoline were marring Stiles’ already dirt and blood caked face as his arm held out extended towards the body on the other side of the ever growing gap. “Hurry, grab my hand!” He yelled over the roar of the earth’s groan. The teen had lost it all. His home, his life, his family, he wasn’t going to leave the last person he cared about behind. “Before it gets bigger!”
