Blue Gray Blue Skies

Hey guys, I decided to try my hand at making an ep!

This started in a conversation with a visitor to the gallery. We were chatting about music, abou this band, shooting the shit, you know, when he asked me what kinds of themes I use in my music. I didn't really know how to answer. Obviously, neither of us are making million dollar concept albums, but I had never really thought about themes in music before. 

So, I'm going to try to make an ep, 5 songs that are united by a theme, even if only I can see the thread. I'm still going to try. I thought of the title, and loose concept in a dream. I want to call it Blue Gray Blue Skies. I like to think of it as a soundtrack to my arrival to Chicago. Some of the feelings used are things like freedom, release, loneliness, future, just all the stuff that would be going through a recent graduate's head. This is a sample of the first tune, the only finished one, called "Young Man." I'd love to have it finished by next month. That's the plan anyways, but who knows? It could be done tomorrow. :)
