Any other day, this would have been fine. Who was he kidding, this sucked and it would have sucked any time this happened. Past 6pm, everyone leaving work and getting home, tired from a day at work and Adrien was no different. Even if he worked at his own flower shop and it was his own business, built all by himself, it was still tiring. The only thing he wanted was to get the flowers he had brought in water, eat dinner and lay down. His day had sucked. Not only did he had screwed up a few orders during the day, but his dad had called him, and every single one of his calls ended up with Adrien feeling frustrated, unloved and all in all useless with the lack of caring he ever got from his father.
The boy just really wanted the day to be over, yet of course, that wouldn’t be so easy. There he was. The blonde sitting outside his own apartment with sunflowers and roses all around him, drenched from the rain that was pouring outside from the ride of his bike and locked out of his own apartment. Nino wasn’t home and he wouldn’t be until later from a work dinner, so there was no chance for him to just drop by his key from work. And that was when his neighbor showed up.
He probably cursed in French the first time Adrien saw their floor mate. Completely awestruck but how pretty and attractive they were. More than once he had ended up messing up with his keys on the way to his door while crossing paths through the stairs. He was such a clutz around them, seeing him like this, drenched and sad wasn’t the best first interaction ever. But it could be worse. “Uhm, hi,” he said to them once he noticed eyes on him. “I got locked out, but I talked to my roommate so it’s okay.”
